HIMSS has confirmed that President Donald Trump will speak at its annual North American event next week.
The address marks the first time an incumbent U.S. president has spoken at the healthcare IT congress.

Trump will cover topics such as interoperability, innovation and digital health. It’s also likely Trump will provide an overview on his government’s dealing with the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.
The address is scheduled to take place Monday, March 9 at 4pm.
Meanwhile, HIMSS has issued an update on how it is dealing with the COVID-19 spread. In the brief, it says its top priority is the health and safety of delegates and details a Crisis Preparedness Plan.
Other healthcare congresses have recently been cancelled as the COVID-19 crisis continues to concern travellers. This week the European Society of Radiology postponed its March congress in Vienna and the World Patient Safety,Science & Technology Summit has suspended its upcoming event owing to the COVID-19 crisis.
HIMSS takes place from March 9 - 13 in Orlando, Florida.
