The Annual Scientific Conference will take place in Gateshead on 8 - 10 October as a hybrid conference, with options for delegates to attend face-to-face or virtually | RCEM accredited for CPD



Abstract submissions

Abstracts form a key part of the Annual Scientific Conference, with top submissions being invited to present either an oral presentation or a poster. This year’s conference will be a hybrid event. All oral presentations and posters will be presented on site at The Glasshouse in Gateshead.


The deadline for submissions at this year’s conference has now passed and we are not accepting late submissions. If you submitted an abstract, the author who submitted the abstract will be notified of whether their submission has been successful or not from Friday 12 July.


Registration and fees


Face-to-face tickets

A face-to-face ticket will give you access to the conference onsite at The Glasshouse, Gateshead. You will be able to book the free, networking reception at the end of the first day of the conference. Your ticket will also include access to the virtual platform recording of track 1 of the event for 12-months.


Face-to-face registration will close on Monday 30 September at 23:59 (BST). Registration may close sooner if the venue capacity is reached, so early booking is recommended.


Virtual tickets

A virtual ticket will give you access to the live stream of the track 1 of the conference with a recording of this available to re-watch for 12-months post-event. Please note, tracks 2 and 3 of the conference will not be available to access virtually or on demand.

Registration will close on Tuesday 8 October at 07:00 (BST).

The Annual Scientific Conference highlights cutting-edge research in emergency medicine (EM) from national and international speakers. Highlights of this event will include the prestigious David Williams Lecture, and RCEM President Dr Adrian Boyle’s Presidential Address.
